Learning to see waste is the first step in any Lean initiative. Everyone can benefit from identifying the waste in their day to day work and developing practices to remove it. The Learning to See Waste Workshop will provide attendees with background information about Waste in the Workplace and the opportunity discover how to remove the wastes in their daily tasks.

This workshop includes a brief presentation and a short video that will demonstrate Lean Thinking in an everyday situation. The group will work in teams to identify areas of waste in their work routines and decide what Lean practices they can put to use.

Who should attend:

Anyone interested in learning how to add more value to their organization by applying proven Lean techniques to their job.

Presenter Bio:

Linda Cook is a Lean/Agile Coach with over twenty years’ experience in the IT industry. She mentors colleagues, creates formal and informal training programs, and helps organizations apply some of the best practices in the Lean Software Development and Agile Project Management. She is a Certified Scrum Master and completed the Lean Six Sigma program at Villanova University.
